Men's Recovery
Men's addiction recovery focuses on how we can learn to be free of our addiction, truly change our life, and attitudes towards others. Thru the experience, strength and hope of working with others who have our same problems we realize that we don't have to be alone, and thru Christ we have been forgiven.
The Quest 180° Men's Recovery Open-Share Group follows the Celebrate Recovery curriculum.
Women's Recovery
This is a safe, kind and caring place where women can gather to discuss our addictive behaviors and other stigmas we deal with in life. The issues we discuss have a wide range; everything from alcoholism, drug abuse, over shopping, gambling, enabling behavior, mental health issues, dual diagnosis, sexual addictions, bad relationships, poor self image and on and on. With the Lord’s help through Quest 180° many women feel they have found new friendships and amazing healing and personal growth in this group.
The Quest 180° Women's Recovery Open-Share Group follows the Celebrate Recovery curriculum.
Teen Recovery
A wide variety of teens attend our group for various reasons. Some are struggling with an addiction themselves, such as alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, sex, pornography, and cutting. Some have a family member who is addicted, causing chaos in the teen’s life.
Peer pressure, pressure from the media, and worldly values are reasons for the leaders at Quest 180° to want to offer teens hope for the future, through a relationship with Jesus Christ and others who are eager to walk alongside them.
Paul said of Jesus: "Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you."
1 Peter 5:7
The Quest 180° Teen Recovery Open-Share Group follows the Life Hurts, God Heals curriculum.
Codependent Men
The Men's Codependent group supports men who are dealing with a loved ones addiction. We find support through working a program of recovery for ourselves, sharing with other men, and learning God's will for our lives. Through this we start to remove the unmanageability in our lives.
The Quest 180° Codependent Men Open-Share Group follows the Celebrate Recovery curriculum.
Codependent Women
Every week a diverse group of wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and loved ones gather to experience transformation through God's grace and healing. Many of us found support at Quest 180° because we were experiencing hardship in relationships plagued by alcoholism, abuse, compulsive gambling, and drug/prescription/work/sex addictions. Our own lives had become unmanageable because many of us had been living in a web of enabling and caretaking while trying to help our loved one(s). Even when those we care about continue their destructive behavior, our personal recovery as women is entirely seperate and necessary in God's eyes. In an open-share format led by facilitators in
recovery, we discuss the principles and teachings of the Celebrate Recovery Program, and experience a journey with God of change, growth, healing, joy, and hope.
The Quest 180° Codependent Women Open-Share Group follows the Celebrate Recovery curriculum.
Parents With Addicted Children
We are a concerned group of parents who support each other through open-share, prayer and conversation. The group understands the emotional rollercoaster parents go through when their children are using. Our focus is helping each other remain spiritually strong and hopeful.
Sexual Purity
This open-share group is devoted to setting men and women free from sexual bondages and the accompanying struggles, in order to allow them to experience the full purity and passion Christ intended for each person as he died for them. We deal not only with the personal shame of the struggle, but the family systems that fuel the problem. If you have tried to stop, but are unable to, you are not alone. Unfortunately pornography is the number one money maker on the internet and knows no boundaries crossing all cultural and socioeconomic borders, often becoming almost predatory in nature. If you are in search of answers and hope, please come check this out on Thursday evenings.
Eating Disorder Recovery
We are a group of people who meet to discuss many issues that deal with Food. Whether it's anorexia, bulimia, over eating, binge eating, sugar addictions, caffeine addictions, or any other food related problem. It is so wonderful to finally have a place to go where we can be understood, where we have the support and love of others that have been through or are going through what we are dealing with. Though no addiction is easy, it is so hard when we have the necessity to consume food and try to "kick" the habit. We welcome women, men and teens to this group.
Kids Like Me
Kids Like Me is a group for children of alcoholic/addicts. This group gives children the support, life skill education, and spiritual foundation they need to live healthy, addiction free lives. Through attending this group children will find a safe place to talk about their life experiences, realize they are not alone; learn about the disease of chemical dependency and how it affects themselves and their whole family. The will be equipped with healthy living skills to break the cycle, and discover how prayer, scripture, and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ are foundational to living a healthy life. This group is offered to children 5-12 years of age.
The Quest 180° Kids Like Me Program follows the "Kids Like Me!" curriculum.
Step Studies
In addition to Quest 180° open-share groups, several other weekly small group Step Studies take place other evenings during the week. If interested, contact your open-share group leader to verify openings.
Prison Fellowship
Prison Fellowship - IFI (InnerChange Freedom Initiative) - Lino Lakes
The InnerChange Freedom Initiative (IFI) is a proven faith-based Re-entry Program that was started by Prison Fellowship (PF) in 1997. In 1999, IFI became a separate 501(c)(3) and now contracts with PF for staffing and support services. IFI operates in prisons in cooperation with the state. The state continues to provide food, clothing, shelter and security to the inmates while IFI staff provides the intensive program. This mission of IFI is to create and maintain a prison environment that fosters respect for God's law and rights of others, and to encourage the spiritual and moral regeneration of prisoners. Therefore, they may develop responsible and productive relationships with their Creator, families and communities.
There are numerous volunteer opportunities for men to become involved in this Quest 180° partner ministry. Men that are soon to be related require mentors, we need men to lead small groups and to work with the Quest 180° ministry that was launched within the IFI—Lino Lakes program in the Spring of 2006. Contact Randy Washington or Holly Wicklund at 651.717.6726 for more details on mentoring. If you are interested in volunteering for the Tuesday night Quest 180° program within the prison contact Randy Mortenson at 651.260. 0973.
