Qualifications to lead a group

If you have a personal relationship with Christ, a willingness to facilitate discussion, and a heart for connecting people—that's all! You don’t need to have all the answers or know the Bible inside and out. We’ll provide you with all the resources and support you need to lead your group well.

What happens during a group

Groups at Eagle Brook are designed to help adults meet new people and grow in their faith. Most groups meet for about two hours—this includes time to hang out, grow in faith, and spend time praying together.

How long do groups last

Each session (fall/winter/spring) will run for eight to ten weeks. Every group will have their meeting dates listed in the Groups Directory, so people will know exactly when and how long your group will be meeting. Many groups meet every week, but some choose to meet every other week, or three weeks on and one week off.

How do people sign up for your group

The Groups Directory will be available online the month before the start of a new session. As a leader, you’ll receive a unique registration link for your group one week before sign-ups go live. This gives you the opportunity to have any friends sign-up for your group in advance.

How does Eagle Brook help prepare you as a leader

We'll guide you each step of the way! All Group Leaders are required to attend Group Leader Training prior to leading their first group. This training will give you the tools and resources you need to lead your group well!

You'll also have the opportunity to meet with the Pastor of Groups at your campus as often as you need. This person is your #1 resource and will be your go-to for any questions you have. Their desire is to help you lead your group well and grow as a leader. Throughout the year, they will also gather all group leaders from your campus for trainings and time to connect with other leaders.

Lastly, you’ll also have access to our group leader website and RightNow Media, our online library of curriculum. Think of it like the Netflix of Bible studies!
